G Hannelius first caught our eye on “Leo Little’s Big Show” and now she’s making us laugh on Disney Channel’s hit show “Dog with a Blog.”
Season 1 of the show is currently airing, but the cast is already hard at work on season 2 and we chatted with G about what fans can expect, what she wants to happen on the show and her fun hobbies.
-If you could describe your character Avery in 3 words, what would they be? Smart, ambitious, and hard-working.
-What can fans look forward to in upcoming episodes of “Dog With a Blog”? So much! We just started filming Season two and there are a lot of fun episodes. In season two, Avery is older and faces friends, school, and boy trouble. You really get to see her grow as a character and I think a lot of young girls can relate to the problems she faces.
-Do you have a favorite memory from the first season? I think one of my favorite memories was when I got to juggle and walk on stilts in one of the episodes. I take circus classes in real life, so it was a lot of fun to be able to do that on the show.
-What’s the most fun part and challenging part of working with a dog on set? The most fun part is just having dog on the set! Mick (the dog) is so playful and he brings so much energy to the set. The challenging part is working with a dog. It takes patience, but we all love him so much.
-If you could write an episode of “Dog with a Blog,” what would you want to happen? That’s a great question! I think it would be fun for Avery and the family to travel somewhere and Stan sneaks into their suitcase and goes with them. There are a lot of funny things that could happen.
-What animal do you wish could talk? Horses. I rode horses for a while and they are such intelligent animals. I think if they could talk, they would say a lot of important things.
-Who or what inspired you to become an actress? I don’t think anyone in particular inspired me. I did theater when I lived in Maine and that’s where I fell in love with it. I LOVE making people laugh.
-What is your dream project? Something where I can sing and act.
-When you’re not acting, what do you love to do in your free time? I love bike-riding, swimming, playing tennis, hanging out with friends, and painting nails! I actually have a YouTube channel, GByGNailArt, where I do nail art tutorials.
-Do you have any other upcoming projects? Not at the moment, I am really focused on Season two of “Dog With a Blog” right now and making it the best that it can be.
-What is your favorite song of the summer right now? I love Rachel Platten, “1000 Ships” and Cher Lloyd, “Want U Back”
-Do you have a favorite summer memory? Summer camp in Maine. It was a sleep away camp on a lake and I have so many fun memories from there. I also always have a lemonade stand with my friend, Cicely.
