It was a wonderful reunion for one of our favorite 90s shows at the 2nd annual ATX Festival in Austin, Texas on Friday.
The cast of “Boy Meets World,” including Ben Savage, Rider Strong, and Matthew Lawrence along with creator Michael Jacobs, reunited to answer fan questions and relive the impact their show made during the 90s. Also joining the panel were Maitland Ward, Trina McGee, Betsy Randle and Lily Nicksay (the original Morgan). Notably missing from the panel were Will Friedle and Danielle Fishel.
During the panel, Ben talked about reuniting with Danielle for the Disney Channel pilot “Girl Meets World” and how BMW will live on in this new show, Matthew and Maitland talked about the Jack-Rachel-Eric love triangle, and much more.
So will the old cast be popping up on “Girl Meets World”? There is always the open possibility even though not all of them have officially signed on. Michael Jacobs said, “It is the child of an original program. There is no way that I’m not going to include everybody who wants to be included on this piece. Because they are the genesis of the piece. For me, we may build a new house, but we are building it on ground and that ground was “Boy Meets World.””
