We were thrilled with the announcement that “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off, “The Originals,” was picked up for a full season. So what can we expect from this new show?
E! caught up with Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies at the Upfronts last week where they shared how it is different from TVD.
“It’s going to be darker, a little sexier, edgier,” Joseph said. “Vampire Diaries was really more about these kids growing up, more of a coming of age…Our show is a little more about people or creatures embracing their true nature and really kind of reveling in that. As fans of the Vampire Diaries grow up, hopefully they can grow up with The Originals.”
