Taylor makes a cameo as a woman named Elaine, but the show is keeping it underwraps on what part Elaine will actually play in the wedding episode.
The singer is a big fan of the show and it looks like the cast is a big fan of hers! Showrunner Liz Meriwether told EW, I’m a huge fan of hers. I was fully geeking out about meeting [Taylor]. I didn’t go to meet her right away because I kind of had to compose myself — there’s a 14-year-old girl inside of me.” She continued, “[Taylor] was quoting lines to us from the show. It was a really exciting night.”
Jake Johnson, who plays Nick, said Taylor did a “very good” job in her scenes. “She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there — though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”
