Divergent is currently filming in Chicago but we already have a first look at the movie!
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have the first official photo of the movie starring Shailene Woodley. We see Tris up against a wall and it looks like knives have been thrown at her.
Shailene told EW not to worry, the knives were “just rubber” and says “It’s about being selfless and standing up for what’s right.”
She also talked about working with the cast that includes a good mix of well known actors like Kate Winselt and newcomers. “It’s a good group,” she says. “We’re hanging out on weekends, celebrating birthdays. Everyone just wants to get to know one another. It’s rare to get a big group together and not have any conflicts. It’s really kind of amazing.”
The movie also stars Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Mekhi Phifer, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen, and Amy Newbold and is set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities, Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.
