Emma Watson is up for three awards at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards but now she’s guaranteed to go home with a popcorn statue.
It has just been announced that Emma will receive the second annual “MTV Trailblazer Award” LIVE during the “2013 MTV Movie Awards” on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The Trailblazer award honors best in class young actors who are actively carving out their own unique and diverse path in the film industry and Emma has definitely proven herself. With roles in the Harry Potter franchise and a breakout turn in Perks of Being A Wallflower, Emma’s career is off to a great start.
“Emma Watson endeared herself to fans as one of the most beloved and iconic characters of her generation and did so again this past year as she seamlessly transformed into the role of ‘Sam’ from yet another modern day classic in The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” said Stephen Friedman, President of MTV. “She’s been a constant presence in the lives of our audience for more than a decade and is continuing to challenge her craft with upcoming roles as radically diverse as her enormous talent.”
