Big congratulations go out to Samantha Barks and Tom Holland!
The two UK rising stars took home the awards for Best Female and Best Male Newcomer at the Jameson Empire Awards 2013 at The Grosvenor House Hotel. Samantha is currently filming The Christmas Candle in the Isle of Man and flew to London and landed only about an hour before she took the stage to accept her award from Sam Claflin.
Both awards are well deserved as both Sam and Tom turned in amazing and emotional performances in Les Miserables and The Impossible, respectively.
Sam took to twitter after the show to thank all of the fans (who she lovingly calls “sprouts”) that voted for her saying, “Thank you so much to all my beautiful sprouts on twitter who voted for me to win best newcomer at the empire awards! love you all so much x.”
