Do you miss seeing Miranda Cosgrove on your TV every week now that “iCarly” is over? Well, you might be in luck!
According to Deadline, the 19-year-old will play opposite Christina Ricci in NBC’s single-camera comedy pilot “Girlfriend In A Coma.”
The show centers on Karen (Ricci), a woman who was in a coma for many years and unexpectedly comes out of the coma to find she has a 17-year-old daughter, Evie (Cosgrove). Evie is a small-town, overachieving loner whose world is turned upside down when her mom wakes up, and every hope she ever had of keeping her nose to the grindstone, saving money, and getting grades for an out-of-state college is thrown out the window.
In other TV news, everyone’s favorite ginger Rupert Grint is making the leap from movies to TV. He has signed on for the CBS pilot “Super Clyde.” In the comedy, Rupert will play Clyde — a sweet, anxious fast-food employee who loves comic books and dreams of being a superhero. When he discovers that he’s set to inherit $100,000 a month from a dead relative, he decides that his wealth will be his super power.
Both of these shows sound pretty interesting. We’d tune in! Fingers crossed the pilots get picked up to series.
