The UK band is putting their own spin on the Blondie classic to raise money for the UK charity, Comic Relief. As part of their work with the charity, the band made a trip to Ghana recently where Harry shared that it “was the best thing we’ve ever done. It was amazing.” The group visited projects in Ghana and met the people whose lives have been changed as a result. Now the boys are overjoyed to be able to help people with lives similar to those they met in Ghana, by forgoing any royalties due to them in connection with this charity single. Syco will also donate 100% of its profits from the sale of each CD single and download to Comic Relief.
The guys chatted all about the experience on ITV’s “This Morning” as well as their tattoos, Valentine’s Day, and more.
“One Way or Another” will be available February 17, 2013. 1D will also perform on the Brit Awards.
