Jennifer Lawrence showed off her comedic skills hosting “Saturday Night Live” for the first time last night.
The 22-year-old kicked off her opening monologue by poking fun (and giving gracious compliments) at her fellow Oscar contenders and Tommy Lee Jones.
One of the top sketches of the night was The Hunger Games press conference which saw Katniss and Peeta answering questions from press after surviving the game, much like most athletes do after sporting events. One of the weaker sketches was probably the Top Dog Chef sketch which saw Jennifer and her fellow actors dressed as dogs.
Overall, Jennifer did a great job hosting, but we feel that the SNL writers did not use her to her full potential. We all know she is hilarious in interviews and speeches and even on screen but she was given some pretty weak sketches to pull off.
