Selena Gomez trades in her pretty dresses for a more fun, edgy look on the cover of the February issue of Nylon Magazine.
It looks like Selena is featured on two different covers and shows off a fun, funky casual look. In the mag, Selena opens up about the paparazzi and how they must think she’s boring. “I think [the paparazzi] are over me because I’m so boring[…],” she shared. “I get to Topanga Mall, and they’re like, ‘Why is she back at the same place?'”

Selena’s latest role is quite a departure from the sweet and bubbly Disney-esque roles we’ve come to know her for. She steps into the dark, edgy, indie world in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers, set to hit theaters this March. Watch the full trailer here.
Of the role, Selena dished, “It was my first audition in years. I definitely felt that with my first stepping-out role, I should choose something that I could understand a little more. I was really nervous, but Harmony took a chance with me. He said, ‘You live in this bubble, and I’m going to take you out of it, but you have to trust me.'”
