samclaflin-finnick-011213The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens in November and one scene die-hard fans will be waiting for is Finnick’s sugar cube scene.

In the book, Finnick ends up trying to tease Katniss while they are in their district parade gear which finds the hunky character wearing nothing but a strategically placed net. Yup, just a fishing net! So how will this translate onto the big screen?

Sam Claflin, who one the role of the District 4 hero, told Entertainment Weekly, “They did have to tone it down from what it is in the book because they can’t make it too graphic if you know what I’m saying. Because it was just a knot covering his, basically, you know what I’m saying! I was definitely prepared to do anything. But the costumer said ‘Well we can’t have you in nothing’ so I’m kind of covered up.”

He continued, “It was the scariest moment of my life. [laughs] I’m on Twitter and so many people have been like ‘Don’t mess this up, or we will kill you.’”

We have a feeling we are going to love this scene! In addition, EW has spilled what three characters aren’t making it to the big screen adaptation. Don’t expect to see District 8 runaways Bonnie and Twill. Even though they have little time in the book, they help reveal vital information – They meet Katniss in the woods and inform her of the rebellion & District 13 – they might not be seen in the movie. So how will Katniss come to learn of District 13? “It was fun figuring out new ways around things and new ways of doing things,” Francis said.

Also getting cut is Darius, District 12′s youngest peacekeeper who intervenes during Gale’s whipping and then sentenced to the life of an Avox.

So which scene are you most excited to see? Are you bummed that some of the characters didn’t make it into the movie? For more Catching Fire news, be sure to grab this week’s issue of EW, on newsstands now.
