Lucas Till and Brenton Thwaites Among Four Vying for Coveted ‘Divergent’ Role

2

Divergent is the next highly anticipated book series to make its way to the big screen. Shailene Woodley has landed the coveted role of 16-year-old Tris.

Set in a futuristic dystopia, Divergent tells the story of a teenager who seeks to break free from her homogeneous society that divides people based on human traits. She leaves her faction and joins a rival group, where she falls for a young man.

So, besides Tris, the next most talked about role is that of the young man she falls for – Dauntless instructor Four. So who is vying for the role? According to Deadline, Summit held chemistry readings yesterday pairing Shailene with Luke Bracey, Brenton Thwaites, Lucas Till and Jack Reynor.

Four is described as having “a spare upper lip, and a full lower lip. His eyes are so deep-set that his eyelashes touch the skin under his eyebrows, and they are dark blue, a dreaming sleeping, waiting color. His voice is deep, and it rumbles. He smirks. He has a stillness about him….His voice is low and smooth and almost soothing…[his eyes are] a shade of blue is peculiar, so dark it is almost black…He is muscular, nothing on his body yields. His hair is dark, almost black, especially when he cuts it short.”

So with that description, who do you think would make the best Four? We think these are great choices although Luke does look a little old to play 18. The rest seem like they could pull it off. Also, who will look the best with the black locks? Someone will definitely have to dye their hair for the role.
