Season 5 of Radio Disney’s N.B.T. competition is kicking off TONIGHT!

The season will kick off at 8pm tonight on Disney Channel during the premiere of “Girl Vs. Monster.” Fans will get to know each of the five contestants a little better as they visit their hometowns. The finalists include pop singers and actresses Chloe and Halle Bailey; acoustic pop singer and actress Katherine Hughes; R&B singer, dancer and actor Damian Otchere; modern rock and pop singer, songwriter and musician Jack Skuller; and pop singer, songwriter and actress Elle Winter.

Each of these finalists is vying for the chance to perform a song on the hit show “Austin & Ally.” To help them out, two of our favorite ladies are giving them some advice.

Selena Gomez shared, “You’ve got to love it. Be passionate about it. Be humble about it. Enjoy it, but also remember where you are. Have fun whether you win or not.”

One of Selena’s bffs, Taylor Swift, also had some wise words for the finalists. “My advice would be to write a letter to whoever you’re wanting to say what you feel to. Instead of trying to put all this pressure on yourself to write a song. Just write what you’re feeling.” She added, “If it comes to you in the form of a melody than that’s great. If it just comes to you as a diary entry or a poem…whatever you need to do to get out your feelings.”

Radio Disney will kick off season five of “N.B.T” with a concert THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 13 (performances begin at 4pm) featuring Hollywood Records recording artists R5 featuring Ross Lynch and Coco Jones, “N.B.T.” season four winner Shealeigh, and all season five “N.B.T.” artists. Laura Marano from “Austin & Ally” is one of the mentors this year along with Ross Lynch, Cher Lloyd, and Shealeigh and will be on-hand grabbing a ton of backstage coverage and she and other surprise Disney Channel talent are expected to take the stage. If you’re in the area, come on down!
