McFly Invades the US with Sold Out Show at the Roxy (Video)

The UK invasion continues!!

One of our longtime favorite UK bands, McFly, just played their first real concert in the US on Friday night and boy was it one for the books. Danny, Dougie, Tom and Harry have played sold out arena shows all over Europe, but on Friday they played to an intimate sold out crowd at the Roxy in Los Angeles, but if you didn’t know any better, you’d swear it was an arena show.

The foursome packed on the energy right out of the game opening with “Nowhere to Run” and then playing songs from all five of their albums including “5 Colours in Her Hair,” “Walk In the Sun,” “Shine A Light,” and more. They even threw in covers of One Direction, Rihanna and Gotye.

The crowd was dancing and singing all night and loved every minute of it! McFly also played a trio of new songs from their upcoming sixth album including “Red,” “Touch the Rain,” and a brand-spankin’ new one called “Love Is Easy.”

The guys will do it all over again with a show at the Roxy on Monday night before heading out to NYC later this week for two shows. We have a feeling this is just the start of the band’s US domination. We wish it hadn’t taken 9 years, but it is well worth the wait!
