Taylor Swift holds on to a shiny MTV moonman in this new promo pic for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
It was announced this morning that Taylor will be taking the stage at the VMAs to perform a new song from her album Red for the first time. That’s right, a brand NEW song! We have a feeling she might start out with a bit of her current single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and then going in to her new song. What do you think? She shared that it will be a song that is very different than what she has done before. Hmmm…
Also taking the stage at the 2012 VMAs will be One Direction, Pink, Green Day and Alicia Keys. The first round of presenters have also been announced and include Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, Mac Miller and the “Fierce Five,” the U.S. Women’s Olympics Gymnastics Team that won the team gold medal at the 2012 Olympic games.
If you’re a big TSwift fan, she might just be coming to your high school or college campus! The 22-year-old has teamed up with VH1’s Storytellers for a contest in which Taylor will perform an intimate concert at the winning school. For all the details and to vote for your school, visit taylorswiftoncampus.com. Voting is open today through September 23.
Taylor has also teamed up with Fashion’s Night Out, which will also take place September 6. Click inside for the promo video which also features Justin Bieber.
