Selena Gomez graces the cover of the September issue of Teen Vogue.
In the mag, Selena opens up about moving into adulthood (she’s 20 now) and what’s next in her movie and music career.
On acting roles: “Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I’m super happy with what my show accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously. I don’t necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting.”
On her next album: “It’s going to be different—a little older but still really fun.”
On her relationship: “It’s really fun. I’m lucky. I’m 20. I don’t take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically.”
2012 is definitely the year of movies for Selena. She has three in the can and just booked another! Selena will star in Parental Guidance Suggested, THR just revealed. The movie was previously rumored to be called Feed the Dog.
Selena will star opposite Nat Wolff and Austin Stowell in the rock-n-roll themed indie film. The film is based on Ric Browde’s 2000 novel While I’m Dead … Feed the Dog and the story centers on 16-year-old Ric Thibault (Wolff) and his crush Nina Pennington (Gomez) as they embark on a rock ‘n’ roll-themed odyssey. Stowell will play Gomez’s overbearing boyfriend.
