All the rumblings about casting news for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire are making us more excited than ever.
Jennifer Lawrence, who is returning as Katniss Everdeen, recently chatted with the LA Times about Catching Fire and director Francis Lawrence. “The new movie will be very real, which is what I’m excited about,” she shared. “I really like [Francis’] take, which is a lot of what I liked in Gary Ross. It’s the realistic grasp of the story instead of all the details of the imaginary things.”
Jennifer has indeed met with Francis to chat about Catching Fire and she believes he’s just trying to carry on what Gary Ross started with the franchise. “He’s not trying to reinvent anything,” she said.
That should ease the minds of some who are a little iffy about a new director taking over the franchise.
