Fans of The Hunger Games are eagerly awaiting the casting news of one of the series most favorite characters, Finnick O’Dair, and we might be close to an announcement!
Many names have been thrown around by the book series’ devoted fans including Zac Efron, Grant Gustin, Chace Crawford, Matt Lanter, Trevor Donovan, and many more. According to E! Online, studio bosses at Lionsgate may have narrowed the choice down to three.
Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch, and Garrett Hedlund are said to be the top three names floating around the casting table. Sources tell E! that a final decision from the studio may be announced as early as this week and another source says the studio may also be looking at unknowns for the lead role.
All three are no stranger to leading men roles. Armie Hammer held his own in The Social Network, J. Edgar, and Mirror Mirror, while Garrett Hedlund starred in Country Strong and Tron. Taylor Kitsch, best known for “Friday Night Lights,” took on leading roles in Battleship and John Carter.
We think all three of these guys would do a great job, but they’re not really the Finnick we pictured when reading the books. That could be just us though. We’re kind of hoping for a newcomer to take on the role.
Do you think any of these guys would make a good choice? Who do you want to see cast?
