Big congrats go out to Jake T. Austin. The 17-year-old has been named the Ronald McDonald HouseĀ® New York (RMH-NY) youth ambassador spokesperson where he will provide a new voice for children facing the greatest challenge of their lives as they battle pediatric
cancer.
āItās an honor and a pleasure to have a bright and talented young man like Jake T. Austin representing
the House,ā said William T. Sullivan, president and CEO of Ronald McDonald House New York. āHis
dedication to our organization is already a hopeful beacon for so many of our family members who
look up to him and appreciate him for his charitable endeavors, as well as his work in Holllywood. We
welcome him to our family. ā
Jake will be introduced during the organizationās 20th anniversary gala event on Monday, May 21st at the Waldorf=Astoria Grand Ballroom by RMH-NY President, William T. Sullivan. His activities on behalf of the House will include starring in a public service announcement promoting the mission of New York Cityās āhome away from homeā and all of the services the House offers to pediatric cancer patients and their families.
āWe take our health for granted, when these kids are fighting for their lives every day,ā said Jake T.
Austin. āRMH-NY gives them and their families a place to feel comfortable and protected while going
through these treatments for severe illnesses. I wish I could give these kids back one-third of the joy
they have given me.ā
