Josh Hutcherson reunites with his The Hunger Games co-star Woody Harrelson at the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner over the weekend.
Josh was also honored at CinemaCon 2012 last weekend with the Breakthrough Performer of the Year Award. At the awards show, Josh caught up with the LA Times to talk about Francis Lawrence directing Catching Fire. He said, “I have not talked to Francis yet. I’m looking forward to it. I’ve literally heard from everybody he’s the nicest man alive.”
Josh then chatted with EW at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner about calling up Gary Ross after finding out the news.
“I called him and I was like ‘Gary what’s up? What’s happening? Tell me it’s not the truth,” he said. “I’ve never heard someone sound more dejected on the phone than he was. He was so sad he can’t be doing it.”
“I think we’re going to make a good movie nevertheless and I’m excited to see what Francis brings to the table,” said Hutcherson.
