Tonight is a brand new episode of “Kickin’ It” on Disney XD and it features some special guest stars – The Harlem Globetrotters!
The world famous Globetrotters stop by to show off their basketball and acting skills on the episode entited “Eddie Cries Uncle” and we were on set!
In the episode, when the gang’s intramural basketball league is shut down for lack of funding, the kids take it upon themselves to raise the money to save it. Eddie has bragged for years that his uncle is Big Easy from the Harlem Globetrotters and he’s forced to put his money where his mouth is when he learns that the ‘Trotters are coming to town.
Meanwhile, Phil and Rudy get dressed up to sell chocolate during the game, but unbeknownst to them, their outfits closely resemble Willy Wonka and an Oompa Loompa.
We chatted with the cast about working with the Globetrotters and what their real-life Globetrotter nicknames would be. We also chatted with the Globetrotters about what it was like to work with the kids and how they got their nicknames.
