Everyone might be in Avengers mode at the moment, but we are super stoked for The Amazing Spider-Man.
A new Japanese trailer for the movie starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone has just been released and we get to feast our eyes on some new footage.
In the new trailer, we get a few more glimpses at flashbacks of Peter Parker’s life, some more action/fight scenes, and a few more shots of the romance between Peter & Gwen Stacy.
Director Marc Webb recently told the Hollywood Reporter how much the previous versions of this superhero franchise had on this new reboot. “It’s a totally independent universe, and we make different assumptions about certain parts of the character without subverting the iconography of Spider-Man,” he said. “There are certain obligations we have — like he wears a suit and he gets bitten by a spider — but the context surrounding that is new and different and set off by an event that happens years before. And it’s a new story in that sense.”
