It’s pilot season, which means many stars are landing roles in pilots in hopes of coming to your TV next season. Nicole Anderson and Ethan Peck have joined the list of actors set to appear in pilots for the CW.
Nicole, who will return to “Make It or Break It” as Kelly Parker this March, has landed a role in the CW’s take on the classic “Beauty & the Beast.” The show will be loosely based on the 1980s TV show and will star Kristin Kreuk as the main character.
The show centers on Catherine (Kreuk), a tough-minded NYPD homicide detective and the Beast, Vincent Koslow, the survivor of a military experiment that went disastrously wrong. Nicole will play Catherine’s younger sister.
“10 Things I Hate About You” alum Ethan Peck will star opposite Aimee Teegarden in the CW’s Hunger Games-esque pilot “The Selection” according to Deadline.
The show is based on the upcoming series of books by Kiera Cass, and is described as an epic romance set 300 years in the future. It centers on America Singer (Teegarden), a poor young woman who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to marry Prince Maxon (Peck) and become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads. Maxon has an unusual run-in with potential bride America and is impressed and intrigued with her honesty and moxie.
Congrats to Nicole and Ethan. We’ll have to wait until the Fall to see if the shows get picked up.
