Great news gleeks! For all you wondering what was going to happen to your favorite McKinley High seniors after graduation, we have an update!
At the FOX TCA panel yesterday, it was confirmed that plans for the “Glee” spin-off have been axed, but the good news is both Lea Michele and Cory Monteith have confirmed they’ll be back for season 4! While we’re not sure about the rest of the seniors including Chris Colfer, Harry Shum Jr, and Dianna Agron, we’re happen we’ll have more Finn & Rachel.
Cory told THR, “Yes, I’ll be back. I’m very excited.”
“Ryan has come up with a brilliant, ground-breaking idea for how to include us graduating high school seniors into next season and it’s really exciting,” Lea added. “We don’t want to give away the new formula but I’m excited and Cory is so excited to be coming back next year. When we heard Ryan’s plan, it really made us even more thrilled.”
Lea also took to twitter to share the news. She wrote, “It’s official Rachel Berry will be back next year for season 4! I’m so happy you have no idea!! Ryan Murphy has some brilliant and ground breaking ideas for including us graduates in the show for next season! It’s going to be great!”
Guess now we’ll have to await the news about the rest of the seniors. It also looks like recurring Warbler Grant Gustin might be promoted to a series regular. “Glee” returns to FOX January 17 at 8pm. For a sneak peek of the episode, go here.
