Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of Les Miserables has almost found it’s complete cast, and if reports are correct, two of the missing pieces are almost finalized.
The movie already has some big stars attached including Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, Sacha Baron Cohen as Thernardier, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, Anne Hathaway as Fantine and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier. There are still two roles that many young actresses have been vying for – Eponine and Cosette, and it looks like offers have finally been made.
According to Twitchfilm.com and Broadwayworld.com, offers have been made to Taylor Swift for the role of Eponine and to Amanda Seyfriend as Cosette.
If these reports are true, that means Taylor beat out Broadway vet Lea Michele for the role. Lea recently told the NY Post that she’d be embarrassed if she missed out on the role.
What do you think of this casting? We’ll have to wait for the official announcements to see if Taylor and Amanda accept the roles.
