We thought we already knew this, but finally after all the rumors, MTV’s “Punk’d” is officially coming back.
Rumors started last year that Justin Bieber was going to revive the hit celebrity prank show, but nothing was ever confirmed. Back in August, Access Hollywood reported that the show was currently filming and the first victim of a Bieber prank was Taylor Swift. Later it was learned there would not be one host, but various celebrities pranking their celebrity friends.
Well, at long last, it was confirmed by MTV today that “Punk’d” will officially return to its lineup in 2012. Unfortunately, Ashton Kutcher will not return to host the show, but he and his producing partner Jason Goldberg are officially on board as executive producers again.
MTV will officially announce the host (or hosts) of the new “Punk’d” during their New Year’s Eve special hosted by Tyler Posey and Demi Lovato. Demi is also one of the rumored victims of “Punk’d.” We hear she was pranked by her friends in All Time Low.
Speaking of Demi, JustJaredJr announced this morning that she will perform at the 2012 People’s Choice Awards on January 11.
