Holy smokes Batman! The second trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has been released and all we can say is…we want more!
If you went to see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol in an IMAX theater over the weekend, you probably got a sneak peek at the prologue for the upcoming conclusion of The Dark Knight movies, so consider this an added bonus.
The trailer shows that this will definitely be a dark and trying time for the masked crusader. How terrifying does Bane (Tom Hardy) look? And we have to say, we were a little skeptical of Anne Hathaway playing Catwoman, but after the preview, we think she can pull it off – given she’s not shown in her Catwoman gear.
The movie takes place 8 years after the events of The Dark Knight, and the terrorist leader Bane arrives in Gotham City, pushing it and its police force to their limits, forcing its former hero Batman to resurface after taking the fall for Harvey Dent’s crimes.
The Dark Knight Rises will hit theaters on July 20, 2012. What do you think of the new trailer?
