Debby Ryan looks gorgeous as she glams up the December cover of Glamoholic magazine.
2011 has been a great year for Debby. She wrapped up “The Suite Life on Deck,” premiered her own show “Jessie,” turned 18, and she filmed a new DCOM called “Radio Rebel.” Debby took some time to talk with the mag about the success of “Jessie,” what’s next in 2012, and the best moments of 2011 – she fell in love!
What do you think is the main reason behind the huge success of “Jessie”? I think it’s the fact that from the very beginning, from the very conception…we kind of, Pam, the executive producer, and I wanted a show that would grow with me and grow with my fans.
Did “Jessie” change you somehow as a person? It made me look for more in myself. I feel that anytime you do something or you’re a part of something bigger than yourself it really helps you step up and to it and grow.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I don’t know. That’s so hard! If I could change one thing about myself, I would make myself a fantastic juggler. I feel like that’s a great party trick.
What was the best thing that happened to you in 2011? Some of the best things in my entire life have happened this year, so it’s just been a great year for me. My show “Jessie”, and having people that really love it is something that makes me really happy! Working with everyone and being able to prove myself as more than an actress. In a career sense, being able to play someone that no one has ever seen me as before, in a project that someone has never seen me in before – I played a cocaine addict in “Private Practice” – was amazing to have happen as an actor. I also fell in love!
What do you wish for 2012? More career stuff, more opportunities to watch the kids grow, etc. I’ve been working on a charity project for a year now and I think it looks like it’s going to be coming into the light and making a really big difference in 2012. So, I think that’s going to be very exciting and I really hope for that.
