It’s official! As we reported last week, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is officially coming to Hollywood.
James and Oliver Phelps, who played twin wizards Fred and George Weasley in the film franchise, visited Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday to officially announce the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The themed attraction will be inspired by the boy wizard’s magical world and will feature a replica of the enchanted Hogwarts school at its center. The first Potter park in Orlando, Florida, which opened last year, will also be expanded to replace the famous Jaws ride inspired by the classic 1975 thriller.
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling says, “I am delighted that The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has been so popular with fans since the opening in Orlando last year and I am sure that the teams at Universal and Warner Bros. will bring their expertise and attention to detail to Hollywood to make this new experience equally as exciting.”
Are you excited? What attractions do you hope they have? We want some butterbeer and to play some quidditch.
