Shailene Woodley was definitely treated to a birthday she’ll never forget on Tuesday evening.
Shailene celebrated her 20th birthday at the premiere of her new movie The Descendants and her movie dad George Clooney decided to lead a rendition of Happy Birthday at the event.
In a post on twitter, E! Online reporter Marc Malkin tells fans, “George Clooney just had everyone sing Happy Birthday to Shailene Woodley.”
Shailene, who is creating major Oscar buzz for her role in the movie, was also surrounded by her co-stars from “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” including Megan Park, Daren Kagasoff, Molly Ringwald, Jared Kusnitz, and Ken Baumann. Earlier in the day, Megan tweeted how proud she was of Shailene. She wrote, “Today I get to watch my best friend turn 20 & watch her film premiere which may win her an Oscar. I’m pretty damn proud today. Love you Shai.”
Happy belated birthday Shailene! The Descendants is in theaters today.
