If the trailer wasn’t enough to wet your appetite for The Hunger Games, People Magazine’s new issue, which is also the Sexiest Man Alive issue, features an exclusive look at the movie.
In the two new stills featured on People.com, fans get a better look at crazy Effie Trinket during the reaping. Elizabeth Banks, who brings Effie to life on the big screen, tells People, “Effie is a very complicated woman. She’s a spinner. She spins everything into something positive. These kids have been pulled from their loved ones to compete on television in this horrible event in which they will likely lose their lives.”
“For sure the biggest challenge of playing Effie was the shoes!” says Banks. “All of my shoes in the movie are completely amazing but highly uncomfortable. I said to Gary, ‘You better be shooting these shoes, because they’re killing me.’ ”
The second still shows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth) sharing a moment in the forest. Make sure to pick up People, on newsstands this Friday, for even more on The Hunger Games, which is in theaters March 23, 2012. If you missed the trailer, watch it again below.
