In the midst of all the Breaking Dawn madness, some exciting news has emerged regarding the movie adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s non-Twilight novel The Host, they’ve found their male leads!
Max Irons (Red Riding Hood) and Jake Abel (Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief) have been cast opposite Saoirse Ronan in the sci-fi flick in which one soul, the Wanderer, is fused with a captured human named Melanie Stryder, in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.
Irons will star as Jared Howe while Abel will star as Ian, a man who falls in love with Wanderer despite the fact that she is in the body of Melanie who is in love with Jared. The Host is set to begin shooting in February with a release date of March 29, 2013.
