-We caught up with Debby Ryan earlier this month at the opening of Pink’s Hot Dogs and asked her to tell us about her experience filming her new movie, “16 Wishes.”
In the movie, Debby plays Abby Jensen, who has been planning her 16th birthday for the longest time. She has a secret wish list taped to her closet door, and on her big day a box of Sweet Sixteen Birthday Candles arrives, each of which corresponds to a wish on her list. As her wishes come true, her day gets better and better until she makes a wish that changes everything. It co-stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau.
The movie was filmed over 6 weeks in Vancouver. Debby shared, “it was the most magical, flawless experience.” She even bought a bunch of Jac Vanek Wish bracelets for the cast and crew.
She went on to say, “it has a lot of diversity in it. I think it’s different than a lot of stuff that maybe you’ll expect not only from me but also from the Channel. It was done a little differently than a Disney Channel Original Movie so I hope you guys like it.” Check out the short interview below.
