–Taylor Lautner has scored himself a new role…Stretch Armstrong! According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lautner will play the title character in Unversal’s big screen adaptation based on the Hasbro toy.
The movie will be in 3D, which will push back the release date of the movie from May 15, 2011 to some time in 2012. The movie will follow an uptight spy who stumbles across a stretching formula, which he takes and must now adjust to in everyday life and when fighting crime.
Taylor is also signed on to star in the action movies Max Steel and Cancun.
Do you think Taylor will make a good ‘Stretch Armstrong’? We think it’s an interesting casting choice since the original toy was blonde and the character seems older than Lautner can pass for. Either way, congrats Taylor!
