Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber & More Join Together for ‘We Are the World’


-Jim Henson Studios was packed with stars on Monday night as 81 of todays biggest stars in music and movies gathered to record a new version of “We Are the World” to support of Haitian earthquake relief. Some of the young stars involved in the project included the Jonas Brothers, Jordin Sparks, Miley Cyrus & Justin Bieber.

It is the 25th anniversary of the song and this version will be recorded in 3D and, using green screen technology, you can put yourself in the ‘We Are the World’ family.

Justin Bieber, who will be singing Lionel Richie’s original opening line, was honored to be a part of the historic event. He tweeted: Tonight was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Singing WE ARE THE WORLD with all those stars and taking direction from the greats. Im a small town kid who started a youtube page for fun 3 years ago. 2nite i sang with some of my heroes. still in shock and super grateful. DREAMS DO COME TRUE- believe that.

Jordin Sparks shared with ET, “The song has had a huge impact on me and I’ve always loved Michael’s love for the world and for the earth and for other people and to help and give back. It’s kind of like when you go to an awards show and everybody’s there…except this time they’re not posing for pictures and they’re not doing interviews. They’re just there for the music.”

The music video, which will be in 3D, will premiere on February 12.
