Honor Society Has ‘Great Expectations’

Honor Society brought their A-game to the School of Rock in S. Hackensack, NJ on Thursday night for a special acoustic show. The gentlemen treated fans to a mix of old songs, brand new songs, and fan favorites from their album, Fashionably Late. Fans at home even had a chance to catch part of the show, as the guys streamed the first three songs live online.

Michael, Andrew, Alexander & Jason opened the show with their first single “Over You” and then played through songs like “Full Moon Crazy”, “Nobody Has to Know” and “Don’t Close the Book.” During “Don’t Close the Book”, Michael shared how the band had recently had the chance to spend time with Wyclef Jean, who is from Haiti. The guys asked fans, if they felt comfortable, to pull out their cell phones and help donate to Wyclef’s relief fund for Haiti. Fans didn’t hesitate and pulled out their phones to text YELE to 501501 while still singing the “Oh Oh Oh Oh’s” of the song. Andrew then took a photo of the crowd with their cell phones to send to Wyclef.

The gentlemen definitely made the fans scream as they pulled some songs out of the “Honor Society Vault.” They played parts of “No Win Situation” (one of our personal faves) and “Heartache in the Suburbs”, as well as “The Takeover” and “This Bed is an Ocean.” During the mix, they premiered two new songs as well. They performed “Great Expectations,” which they played snippets of in soundcheck parties on their Fashionably Late tour, and “When I Get Home,” which Michael explained was still not finished yet.

For their encore, they played their new single, “Here Comes Trouble,” and announced that they will be releasing details soon about their upcoming tour appropriate titled the “Here Comes Trouble Tour”. Fans were so excited about the announcement that #HereComesTrouble ended up in the top 10 trending topics of the night on twitter, apparently peaking at #3. Stay tuned for more details.
