Joe Jonas: Single & Making People Laugh

People Magazine caught up with Joe Jonas on the red carpet of the Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday. The 20-year-old talked about his relationship status and his love of acting. Joe revealed to the mag, “This is the longest I’ve ever been single actually. I love it. I still date and things like that but just not committed, which is nice.”

Joe was at the awards show supporting his little brother Nick Jonas, who played at the show. Joe also talked about wanting to do more acting. “I love to make people laugh. If I can make people laugh, then I feel good,” says Joe, who is currently reading scripts. “For me, acting is something you’re able to be eclectic. That’s something that I would really like to be a part of.”

Joe also revealed to E! Online that he’s been busy writing songs. “I’m writing songs right now. I’m writing a lot of music.” The 20-year-old JoBro smiles when asked if he’s planning on following in Nick’s brotherless footsteps. He declines to say yes or no.

“It’s going really well,” he said. “I’ve written about five songs with some of my friends in different bands and things like that. With Grammy Week coming up, all my friends and all these musicians are flying in. I love writing with musicians.” And on acting: “I’m looking forward to doing more acting,” he said. “I know everybody says this, but I want to be able to do everything. I won’t be satisfied until I’m ready to do every kind of role—from a villain to a comedian.”

Joe & Nick will join big bro Kevin the beginning of February to start shooting season 2 of their Disney Channel show “JONAS”.
