–Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman, along with his co-stars Alexandra Daddario & Kevin McKidd, helped light the first ever Lightning Billboard promoting their movie yesterday on the Sunset Strip. Emitting 1.2 million volts of pure lightning (enough to light several homes), the PERCY JACKSON Lightning Billboard is located at 8755 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. The modern and unique marketing tool employs some time-tested technology: its “lightning” is powered by a transformer invented 100 years ago by scientist Nikola Tesla, one of the key figures in the birth of commercial electricity.
