Eagle Eye 2-Disc Special Edition DVD Review
By: Lisa H

What would happen if your every move was being watched? What if “Big Brother” was real? One of 2008’s biggest thrillers, “Eagle Eye” answers those questions and so much more as it hits stores. Shia LaBeouf stars as Jerry Shaw, a down-on-his-luck young man barely getting by in life. The sudden death of his twin brother starts a crazy chain of events that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Thrown in to the mix is Michelle Monaghan as single mother Rachel Holloman. These two strangers are forced to work together for an unidentified voice that contacts them through cell phones, televisions, billboards and other types of technology. While the plot in reality is too far fetched to believe and some characters are under developed, overall the movie keeps you on your toes and wanting more. Shia LaBeouf continues to prove himself as an action hero while Monaghan nicely shows off her serious side after starring earlier in the year in the comedy “Made of Honor.” The movie also co-stars Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson and Michael Chiklis.

This thriller is available as a single disc DVD, 2-Disc Special Edition and on Blu-Ray. The 2-Disc special edition includes many great bonus features, including a look at the making of, an on location piece and even an alternate ending which leaves the movie open for a sequel (which is unlikely since the scene was cut, but still interesting to think about). You can order the DVD on Amazon HERE or pick it up at a retailer near you.
