-Z100, New York’s Hit Music Station, is teaming up with the BlackBerry® Pearl™ Flip 8220 smartphone and participating T-Mobile Authorized Dealers to present the pre-event to Z100’s Jingle Ball 2008, the “Z100 & BlackBerry® All Access Lounge 2008.” The FREE event will take place immediately before Z100’s annual holiday concert on Friday, December 12th, 12-5:30pm at ROSELAND BALLROOM, 239 W 52nd St, New York, NY. The Z100 & BlackBerry All Access Lounge will be action-packed with performances by BRANDY (“Right Here”), LADY GAGA (“Just Dance”), SECONDHAND SERENADE (“Fall for You”) and THE VERONICAS (“4ever”). Z100’s Jingle Ball 2008 artists will also be stopping by to sign autographs including David Archuleta, Leona Lewis, Katy Perry, and Jesse McCartney.
The FREE indoor festival will feature music as well as interactive displays from some of today’s hottest brands and products, including the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone exclusively from T-Mobile, Canon, Scion, Pepsi, Fairy Dust by Paris Hilton, Five Towns College, Regal Cinemas, Tastykake, Seventh Generation, Stand Up To Cancer and many more.
Any listener who arrives at the lounge with a BlackBerry® smartphone from T-Mobile will be able to jump the line and cut to the front. Inside Roseland Ballroom, T-Mobile and BlackBerry will host a special VIP Lounge and texting competition to win hot BlackBerry products and accessories. Participating T-Mobile Authorized Dealers will also be hosting special in-store contests leading up to Z100’s Jingle Ball 2008, giving customers a chance to win a special Jingle Ball 2008 VIP experience for you and a friend, including floor seats to the concert, limo ride to and from the event and Blackberry Pearl Flip and much more (www.z100.com, keyword: FLIP).
In conjunction with both events, Canon PowerShot is running a national on-line contest entitled: “So You Want To Be A Pop Star?” from November 3 – November 30, 2008. Three finalists and their guests will be flown to New York City for four days/three nights, receive hotel accommodations and premium tickets to Z100’s Jingle Ball. While in New York City, the finalists will meet recording artist, Leona Lewis, receive private voice and dance lessons, be treated to a makeover and shoot a 60-second video while performing the Leona Lewis song “Better In Time”! The three finalist’s videos will be posted online for America to vote on. The Grand Prize Winner will receive $5,000.00 to continue down the road to stardom. The official charity partner for Z100’s Jingle Ball and the Z100 & BlackBerry All Access Lounge 2008 is Stand Up To Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org), an initiative raising awareness and funds to accelerate ground-breaking cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives. Z100 will host banner ads on Z100.com promoting awareness of the cause and will air Public Service Announcements. For each ticket sold via Ticketmaster, $1 will be automatically donated to the charity along with an option to contribute more.
