-Selena Gomez and Mitchel Musso chatted with USA Today at Target presents Variety’s Power of Youth Event this weekend. Check out what they had to say:
•Selena Gomez, 16, star of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, is getting into music: “Me and my best friend, Demi Lovato, are working on a single together, and we’re also planning a tour. We’re really excited. I’m also working on my own album, and I think it’ll come out next year sometime.”
•Mitchel Musso, 17, who plays Oliver in Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana, also has been focusing on music: “I’ve always been the actor. My older brother (Mason) is the musician. But I wanted to get back into music, so I started writing songs and found my sound. It’s like electronic rock, just good, solid rock music. I don’t think the kids in my generation have heard much of that sound, and hopefully we can get that sound out there now and they’ll love it,” He’s hoping his new album comes out at the top of next year.
