Jennifer Lawrence and Quvenzhane Wallis: LA Film Critics Awards

lafilmcritics-011313Quvenzhane Wallis gives a big smile next to fellow Best Actress nominee Jennifer Lawrence at the 38th Annual Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Wallis’ movie, Beasts of the Southern Wild, took home a number of awards including Best Supporting Actor and Best Music Score. Jennifer scored another win for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook.

Wallis has become the youngest actress to ever receive an Oscar nomination in the Best Actress category and while she’s been rubbing elbows with heavyweights like Jennifer, Anne Hathaway and Ben Affleck, it looks like there are some other actors she’d love to meet.

The 9-year-old recently told the LA Times, “I want to meet everybody on Disney Channel and Disney XD that are alive.” Her two favorites – “Jessie” and “Austin & Ally.” So cute.

Be sure to catch both Wallis and Lawrence at the Golden Globes tonight. Click inside for the full winners list from the LA Film Critics Awards…

Justin Bieber: Monkey and Tattoo Time

justinbieber-tattooromannumeral-011213Justin Bieber shows off some interesting style in his latest instagram pic.

The 18-year-old is known for sagging his pants and decided to show what it would be like if he wore his pants differently. “To those of u who tell me not to sag my pants. Double think that,” he wrote. Well, we have to say this might be better than the sag haha!

If you look closely at the picture, you’ll notice some new ink on the right side of Justin’s chest. That’s right, he got yet another tattoo! It appears the tattoo is of a number in roman numerals, but we can’t quite make out what it is. From the looks of it, it ends with IIV, which is a number ending in four. Hmmm…

Justin, who is currently on his Believe tour, had the chance to hang with some cool wildlife recently. Check out some great pics of him with some monkeys and even a lynx!

What do you think of Justin’s latest tattoo?

Samantha Barks and Fra Fee: Behind-the-Scenes of ‘Les Miserables’

samanthabarks-frafee-lesmisbts-011213Samantha Barks and Fra Fee try to keep warm in this cute behind-the-scenes pic from Les Miserables.

The film just opened this week in the UK and to celebrate, the two actors released some fun behind-the-scenes photos on their twitters. Samantha shared a few of her as Eponine including her first day on set and even wielding some weapons. Our favorite has to be her in costume trying to stay warm with additional layers She wrote, “On set, one of the only times as Eponine I was not cold and wet!!! Haha.”

Fra, who plays Courfeyrac, shared some of the guys hanging out together on set including at the barricade and even in their post-battle makeup.

Les Miserables just earned 8 Academy Award nominations including best picture and will vy for a trophy tomorrow night at the Golden Globes.

Samantha has definitely proven to be one of the breakout stars of the film and she is currently in the last leg of the Oliver! UK tour in which she plays Nancy. The 22-year-old had a chance to chat with Guide 2 Bristol about her experience in the film, on stage and what’s next after Oliver! ends February 24.

Oliver! is more than 50 years old; it premiered in 1960; why do you think it remains so popular? It’s got such a great British spirit to it, which people really connect to. When you say you’re in Oliver people starting singing Consider Yourself in the street…people know these songs and they love it, it’s got such a great British pride about it. It’s a fantastic show to be part of, to see the people in the audience mouthing along to the lyrics, it’s great.

Sam Claflin Dishes on Finnick’s Infamous Sugar Cubes Scene in ‘Catching Fire’

samclaflin-finnick-011213The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens in November and one scene die-hard fans will be waiting for is Finnick’s sugar cube scene.

In the book, Finnick ends up trying to tease Katniss while they are in their district parade gear which finds the hunky character wearing nothing but a strategically placed net. Yup, just a fishing net! So how will this translate onto the big screen?

Sam Claflin, who one the role of the District 4 hero, told Entertainment Weekly, “They did have to tone it down from what it is in the book because they can’t make it too graphic if you know what I’m saying. Because it was just a knot covering his, basically, you know what I’m saying! I was definitely prepared to do anything. But the costumer said ‘Well we can’t have you in nothing’ so I’m kind of covered up.”

He continued, “It was the scariest moment of my life. [laughs] I’m on Twitter and so many people have been like ‘Don’t mess this up, or we will kill you.’”

We have a feeling we are going to love this scene! In addition, EW has spilled what three characters aren’t making it to the big screen adaptation. Don’t expect to see District 8 runaways Bonnie and Twill. Even though they have little time in the book, they help reveal vital information – They meet Katniss in the woods and inform her of the rebellion & District 13 – they might not be seen in the movie. So how will Katniss come to learn of District 13? “It was fun figuring out new ways around things and new ways of doing things,” Francis said.

Also getting cut is Darius, District 12′s youngest peacekeeper who intervenes during Gale’s whipping and then sentenced to the life of an Avox.

So which scene are you most excited to see? Are you bummed that some of the characters didn’t make it into the movie? For more Catching Fire news, be sure to grab this week’s issue of EW, on newsstands now.
