Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried and More to Present at 2013 MTV Movie Awards

Zac has been announced in the first lineup of presenters which also include Steve Carell (“Despicable Me 2”), Melissa McCarthy (“The Heat”), Kerry Washington (“Peeples”), Seth Rogen and Danny McBride (“This Is The End”), Amanda Seyfried (“The Big Wedding,” “Epic”), Chris Rock and Adam Sandler (“Grown Ups 2”), and Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto (“Star Trek Into Darkness”).

They will all join host Rebel Wilson to officially kick off the Summer Blockbuster season and deliver the show’s trademark irreverent celebration of the movies, actors and music that audiences love LIVE on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Fans can head to MovieAwards.MTV.com through Saturday, April 13 to vote. As in previous years, the category of “Movie of the Year” will remain an ongoing battle throughout the 22nd annual “2013 MTV Movie Awards” telecast. So far, Selena Gomez is set to perform. Additional presenters, performers and special award recipients will be announced at a later date.

Zac Efron Hangs with Kobe Bryant – Could Zac Win a Rap Battle?

zacefron-hublot-032113 Zac Efron suited up and showed his Lakers pride on Wednesday evening by attendeding the celebration of Hublot’s new brand ambassador Kobe Bryant and it looks like he had a blast!

We all know that Zac can play basketball and sing and dance, but did you know he could rap? Well, according to Rebel Wilson he could win a rap battle!

The duo met last year and have become buddies and Rebel spilled to Buzzfeed, “Yeah, like, we have each other’s numbers! But he’s busy — he’s about to do a movie called Townies with Seth Rogen. And he’s such a cool dude. Something people might not know about him is he’s a really good freestyle rapper. Like, really good. Like, he could go in and battle.”

So would the two ever do a rap single together? “Yeah, that would be friggen sweet,” Rebel said. “I remember when I met him, we were both guests on The Ellen Show and then I was rapping on that show and he kind of knew I could rap, and then he wanted to show me his rap skills — and he’s, like, really good. Like, I’m not exaggerating. He must practice.”

Dear Zac, can we please hear you rap ASAP? Thanks!

The duo joined director Ramin Bahrani at the Paramount Theatre for a special screening and Q&A of the film. Set in the competitive world of modern agriculture, ambitious Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid) wants his rebellious son Dean (Zac Efron) to help expand his family’s farming empire. However, Dean has his sights set on becoming a professional race car driver. When a high-stakes investigation into their business is exposed, father and son are pushed into an unexpected situation that threatens the family’s entire livelihood.

At Any Price is set to open in NY & LA on April 24.

Zac Efron to Star In and Produce Thriller ‘The Falling’

zacefron-thefalling-013013 Zac Efron has booked his next role and he’ll be pulling double duty!

Zefron will produce and star in The Falling, THR has learned. He will produce the flick via his Warner Brothers-based Ninjas Runnin’ Wild Productions and Akiva Goldsman’s Weed Road banner. Also on board to produce are husband-and-wife team Tory Tunnell and Joby Harold of Safehouse Pictures.

Not much is known about the plot of the movie, but it is reportedly being described as an “edgy thriller centering around an otherworldly being.”

Zac just wrapped filming Are We Officially Dating? in NYC and is set to start filming Parkland, a JFK drama with Jacki Weaver and Paul Giamatti, this week.

The first official trailer for the drama also starring Dennis Quaid & Heather Graham premiered today and it looks like Zac is really transitioning into the heavy dramatic indie roles well. Robsten has been named the highest-grossing on-screen romantic couple by Forbes, beating out stars like Zac Efron, Adam Sandler and more. The list was comprised from the top-grossing romantic movies of the last three years. Twilight topped the list thanks to earning $1.17 billion at the domestic box office. WOWZERS!

Robert also appears on the list again alongside his Water for Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon.

In the film, Zac plays a race car driver and we have a clip!

Set in the competitive world of modern agriculture, ambitious Henry Whipple (Dennis Quaid) wants his rebellious son Dean (Zac Efron) to help expand his family’s farming empire. However, Dean has his sights set on becoming a professional race car driver. When a high-stakes investigation into their business is exposed, father and son are pushed into an unexpected situation that threatens the family’s entire livelihood.

The clip shows Dean (all dirty) after winning a race and having some tension with his dad, who wants him to cancel his plans so he can celebrate with the family.

No release date for the movie has been set, but it did premiere at a number of festivals last year.
