The recently announced “Vampire Diaries” spinoff, “The Originals,” would not be complete without one of our favorite original vampires, Elijah!

Daniel Gillies has signed on to the backdoor pilot and potential spinoff of the hit series focused on Klaus and the original vampires. He will join Joseph Morgan and Phoebe Tonkin for the show.

The pilot will air as the April 25 episode of “The Vampire Diaries” and the show will center on the Original family of vampires, as Klaus (Morgan) returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans — a town he helped build centuries ago — and is reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel. Elijah (Gillies), intent on helping his self-destructive brother find redemption, must side with Marcel’s enemies in order to keep Klaus in line.

The CW has announced they are developing a spinoff of the hit series which will be based on our favorite baddie.

EW broke the news this week that the CW has decided to launch a backdoor pilot for a spinoff within the show’s current fourth season.

So what will this new show be about? “The Originals” of course! The story will center around the original family of vampires and stars Joseph Morgan (Klaus). Also set to star is Phoebe Tonkin, who made her debut this year as Tyler’s werewolf pal Hayley.

In the episode airing April 25, Klaus “returns to the supernatural melting pot that is the French Quarter of New Orleans — a town he helped build centuries ago — and is reunited with his diabolical former protégé Marcel.

How amazing does that sound? We know that we will be tuning in. Fingers crossed the show gets picked up!

Well hello there Michael Trevino!

Photos for the upcoming season 4 premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” have been released and just from the pics we can tell it will be a dramatic season opener.

We have a feeling that Caroline might finally figure out there’s something different about Tyler (Oh hey Klaus!). It also looks like Bonnie is trying desperately to save Elena from turning full vampire and many of the characters are caged up. Hmmm…

Can October 11 get here faster please?!

Season 4 of “The Vampire Diaries” kicks off in a few months and we cannot stop watching this latest trailer.

Elena will be dealing with her transition into a vampire, but it looks like everyone is trying to find a way to stop it. Bonnie is even trying to cast some spells or bring Elena back from the dead so she can stay human.

Damon seems indifferent to Elena’s transition and it looks like things will be getting steamy again for Tyler and Caroline, but wait? Is Klaus still in Tyler’s body?

Also looks like there will be some new vampire hunters in town and a priest?

Phoebe Tonkin is set to reunite with bff Claire Holt on TV and this time in the mysterious Mystic Falls!

The “Secret Circle” star will have a recurring role on “The Vampire Diaries” in season 4 playing Hayley, a wild friend from Tyler’s past. She is described as free-spirited and extremely sexy.

It looks like Caroline might have to keep a short leash on her man!

Phoebe will first appear in episode three of season 4, when she stops by to surprise Tyler.

Grace Phipps is heading to Mystic Falls!

TV Guide is reporting that the “Nine Lives of Chloe King” alum will join the show as April, a natural beauty with a bit of an edge.

April has some history with both Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), but Elena will try to protect her from the supernatural secrets of Mystic Falls.

We can’t wait to see how vampire Elena will try to protect April. We are excited to have some new human blood on TVD. Matt must have been getting lonely!

Fans can get their first glimpse of April in the second episode of the new season. Season 4 of “The Vampire Diaries” kicks off Thursday, Oct. 11 at 8/7c on The CW.
