-Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder from “The Vampire Diaries” gathered together for the 27th Annual PaleyFest presents The Vampire Diaries in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The event included a Q&A with the stars and Kevin Williamson, Julie Plec and Bob Levy as well as a screening of an upcoming episode of the hit show. Paulrevealed that some of the fight scenes get pretty intense: “I literally sent Ian to the chiropractor.” “He moved my rib,” Somerhalder agreed.
-Five CW shows have received early renewals: “The Vampire Diaries,” “90210,” “America’s Next Top Model,” “Supernatural,” & “Gossip Girl.”
Fans are still awaiting the verdict on CW favorites “Smallville” and “One Tree Hill.” According to Variety, both shows have a good chance of being renewed. Also awaiting it’s fate is critically acclaimed newcomer “Life Unexpected.”
Also absent from the list is the revival of “Melrose Place.” Ratings haven’t been that great for the show and from what we hear, it’s chance at renewal isn’t looking too good.
Are you glad “The Vampire Diaries” & “Gossip Girl” will be returning?
-We’ve got 27 more photos from tonight’s all new episode of “The Vampire Diaries”. The episode airs TONIGHT on the CW at 8pm EST and takes fans back in time to 1864.
“Children of the Damned”: In flashbacks, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) recall the long-ago actions taken by townspeople including their father, Guiseppe Salvatore (guest star James Remar, “Dexter”), and Pearl (guest star Kelly Hu, “Army Wives”), leading to the devastating events that caused the rift in their relationship. In the present, Bonnie’s (Katerina Graham) date with Ben (guest star Sean Faris) takes a frightening turn. Elena (Nina Dobrev) helps Stefan as he and Damon race to find the missing journal that belonged to Elena’s ancestor. Stefan learns the reason behind Alaric’s (Matt Davis) interest in both the journal and the town’s history. Damon discovers that an old acquaintance has returned to town with an agenda he understands.
Malese Jow, who plays “Anna” on the show, is excited for fans to see this episode. She tweeted: This one was so much fun to film. Can’t wait for you all to see it! Xo
-Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder show off their 1800′s attire in this behind the scenes photo from tomorrow’s episode of “The Vampire Diaries”. The episode, titled “Children of the Damned”, takes viewers back to 1864 where they’ll get a peek into the life of the Salvatore family…and Katherine.

In the flashbacks, Nina has to wear a Victorian style dress to play “Katherine,” which at times provided a challenge for the actress. In their recent Q&A at Garden State Plaza, Paul revealed that Nina “bit it” while filming a scene: “She started running and then all of a sudden…WABOOM.” Ian chimed in, “there was just fabric and feet all in the air.” You’re a trooper Nina!
Check out 10+ behind the scenes photos from the episode and the preview below. The episode airs on the CW tomorrow night at 8pm EST.
-Garden State Plaza in New Jersey was extra loud on Saturday afternoon. Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev & Paul Wesley from the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” made an appearance on stop two of their three city mall tour. The trio first signed autographs for a few hundred fans in Hot Topic and then headed out into the mall to do a Q&A.
The crowd was so loud that fans could barely hear what the three were saying, but they didn’t seem to care. During a scream-off, it was hard to tell if Team Damon or Team Stefan won, but we think Team Stefan may have barely beat the other out. Check out a video from the Q&A below.
After the signing, the cast headed to NYC for the “Love Bites” party celebrating their cover of Nylon Magazine.
The last stop on the tour is February 13 in Los Angeles. For all the details, go HERE.

Cutie Steven R. McQueen recently chatted with MTV’s Hollywood Crush about what’s in store for his character.
On if he’ll be a werewolf: “I know in the books, Tyler was the werewolf. From script to script, we don’t really know too much ahead of time, but we did hear they might change that up. We’re not 100 percent sure on how that’s shaping to unfold itself.”
On if he’ll still be a rebel: “Now that he’s no longer focusing on the death of his parents …he starts to work more at his full potential. He was rebelling against he world, trying to fight everyone at every twist and turn. Now he’s trying to fit in and become a little less of a social rebel.”
On his new love interest on the show: “It’s this lovely actress Malese Jow who’s coming to the show. She’s very talented; she’s very sweet; and I know the audience will fall in love with her, just like I secretly did a little bit.”
Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev also cover the new issue of Nylon. Check it out HERE.
-”The Vampire Diaries” star Steven R McQueen sits on the library floor with Malese Jow in this new still from the upcoming episode “Bloodlines,” which airs on the CW on January 21. Malese joins the cast as “Anna” who befriends McQueen’s struggling “Jeremy.” Also joining the show in the new episode is Gina Torres, who plays a witch named Bree, who is also the new bartender. Check out more stills from the episode at TVFanatic.
Are you excited for “The Vampire Diaries” to return?
-EW has learned that Sean Faris (“Reunion,” “Forever Strong,” “Life As We Know It”) will be the newest cast member on the CW’s hit “The Vampire Diaries.” He will play Ben, an ex-high school football star-turned-bartender at the Mystic Grill in a multi-episode arc. “He’s Matt’s buddy,” says a Vampire insider. “He gets entangled in the group when a broke Matt takes a job at the Mystic Grill.” There also might be some sparks between his character and one of the female co-stars, but it wasn’t revealed who. Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
-Congrats to Malese Jow! She has booked a new role on the CW’s hit show, “The Vampire Diaries.” She released the news on her twitter last week and she just started filming in Atlanta today. TV Guide got the scoop on her character. Malese will play smart girl Anna, who strikes up a friendship with Jeremy, played by Steven R. McQueen.
Jeremy’s girlfriend Vicki was just killed off the show, so TV Guide asked if there will be some romance between Anna & Jeremy: “We’ll see how it goes,” teases creator Kevin Williamson. “Jeremy certainly turns her head. She gets a crush. It starts in one place and maybe ends someplace else.”
If you haven’t yet, check out the interview with did with Malese this summer HERE and HERE. And watch her play our game of “Truth or Dare” HERE.
-”The Vampire Diaries” star Paul Wesley recently visited KTLA to chat about the hit show. What did you think about the Halloween episode from last week?
-The CW’s freshmen drama “The Vampire Diaries” has reason to celebrate. The show was just picked up for a full first season! The network has ordered the back-nine episodes of the show. The show has proven to be a hit for the network: six episodes have already aired of both. “Vampire” to date averages a 1.8 rating and 5 share with adults 18-49, and 3.9 million viewers overall. Among women 12-34, the show usually wins or is a contender for the timeslot win, averaging a 2.8/10.
The CW has also ordered 5 additional episodes of “Melrose Place,” not the full nine. The show has not done as well as expected, but the network is hoping with guests appearances from original cast members like Heather Locklear, the show will pick up steam.
-Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder & Kayla Ewell stepped out together at Spike TV’s 2009 Scream Awards on Saturday in LA. The awards will air on Spike TV on October 27. Do you watch the show? We’re addicted. The next new episode airs on October 29th.
