Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and More to Perform at 2013 Billboard Music Awards

taylorswift-billboard-040313 The 2013 Billboard Music Awards are going down on May 19 and the first round of performers have been announced!

Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Prince, Bruno Mars and Miguel are all set to take the stage during the show which airs live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. In addition to the performances, the awards show will also honor Prince with the Billboard Icon Award highlighting his unique journey and history of groundbreaking accomplishments in the music industry during the broadcast, which will be executive produced by Don Mischer.

More performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

Selena Gomez: My Music Made Taylor Swift Dance

selenagomez-taylorswift-040313 Selena Gomez is gearing up for the release of her new single “Come & Get It” on April 8 and it looks like the track already has approval from one of her famous friends – Taylor Swift.

Selena recently chatted with Ryan Seacrest and revealed, “Taylor has heard my music. We were in her kitchen and she was dancing around which means I get the approval if I can make Taylor dance. That was good. She was really sweet about it.”

Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice Preview ‘Summer Break Tour’ at House of Blues Sunset and Cover Taylor Swift (Video)

btr-victoria-040213 Fans got a special treat at the House of Blues Sunset on Monday night with an intimate concert from Big Time Rush and Victoria Justice.

BTR and Victoria just announced their “Summer Break Tour” and they gave a group of ticket winners a special acoustic show and a preview of what’s to come this summer.

Victoria took the stage to perform three songs including “Take a Hint,” “Freak the Freak Out” and “My Best Friend’s Brother.” She later joined BTR on stage for a cover of Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble.” Big Time Rush performed three songs on their own as well including “Music Sounds Better With U,” “Nothing Even Matters” and their new song “Like Nobody’s Around.”

Taylor Swift Performs “Drive By” with Train For Final Newark Show (Video)

taylorswift-train-032913 Taylor Swift closed out her third night at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ in a big way!

As promised, the 22-year-old had another one of her friends come perform with her – Pat Monahan from Train! The two performed the band’s single “Drive By” for the screaming crowd.

Taylor tweeted after the show, “Tonight Pat Monahan from @Train showed up to sing “Drive By” with us!! One of my favorite singers, and favorite songs. Newark was a PARTY.”

Taylor Swift and Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees Sing “Everybody Talks” In Newark (Video)

taylorswift-newark2-032813 Taylor Swift performed a second night at the Prudential Center in Newark on Thursday and decided to bring out a special guest.

Before kicking off the song, Taylor talked about how amazing the crowd was and that she wanted to reward them so she made a call to a friend and out walked Tyler Glenn from Neon Trees! The two performed Neon Trees’ hit “Everybody Talks” for the crowd.

Taylor also played “The Story of Us” acoustically during her set on the B Stage, when she chooses a different song from her catalogue for each night. The 23-year-old will play another night at the Prudential on Friday then have a little time off before gearing up to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards on April 7. Don’t forget that you can cast your vote for Taylor or any of your favorites for Entertainer of the Year here!

Taylor Swift to Guest Star on “New Girl” Season Finale

taylorswift-newark-032813 Taylor Swift is currently trekking across the US on her Red tour, but she’ll be coming to a TV screen near you very soon.

Entertainment Weekly has learned that the 23-year-old will guest star on the May 14 season finale “New Girl.” She will play Elaine, who is an “important guest” at the wedding of Cece (Hannah Simone) and Shivrang (Satya Bhabha).

Taylor’s name is something you might hear often in the show. EW has a list of references: In one episode, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) sent Cece a text in which he said he was going through a “Taylor Swift-like range of emotions,” while in another, Nick (Jake Johnson) tried to cheer up a heartbroken Jess (Zooey Deschanel) with unfortunate dance moves while she moaned, “I just wanted to listen to Taylor Swift alone,” and “22″ played in the background.

Taylor has previously acted in an episode of “CSI” as well as the movie Valentine’s Day. Are you excited to see Taylor on “New Girl”?

Voting for the Academy of Country Music Awards is now open for Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year. Taylor is once again up for the biggest category of the night alongside Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and Blake Shelton. Brantley Gilbert, Jana Kramer and Florida Georgia Line are all up for ACM New Artist of the Year presented by Kohl’s.

To encourage all the Swifties out there to vote, Taylor posted the adorable meme of her 6-year-old self with “DO ITTTTTT” written on it. Be sure to cast your votes at http://www.voteacm.com/! Voting is open until 8:00PM ET / 5:00PM PT on Sunday, April 7, 2013.

The 48th Annual ACM Awards will take place on April 7 at 8pm and will be hosted by Blake Shelton & Luke Bryan. Taylor will be performing as will George Strait, Kelly Clarkson, Hunter Hayes, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Jana Kramer, Little Big Town, and Lady Antebellum. More presenters & performers will be announced soon.

Taylor is currently in the first leg of her Red tour and recently played at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. As with the Speak Now tour, Taylor is changing up a part of her tour each night performing an acoustic song from her catalogue, sometimes including songs she’s never played live before like “Cold As You.” What are the chances she’d perform one of our favorites “Mary’s Song” for us in LA???? Taylor Swift and Nelly Rock Out to “Hey Porsche” in St. Louis

During her second show in the city, Taylor decided to bring a good friend out on stage with her to sing a song, much like she did on her last tour. So who rocked out with her? None other than St. Louis’ own Nelly!

The duo performed Nelly’s song “Hey Porsche” to the sold out crowd and you can watch it below. Taylor tweeted after the show, “St Louis, you were insanely loud and fun and amazing. Thanks for coming, guys. And a huge thank you to @Nelly_Mo for coming out to sing!!!”

Taylor Swift Kicks Off ‘Red’ Tour in Omaha (Video)

taylorswift-redtour-031413 Taylor Swift kicked off her Red World Tour last night in Omaha and it definitely is her biggest tour to date!

The seven-time GRAMMY winner opened to a sold out show of over 13,800 fans at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Ed Sheeran opened the show and also joined Taylor on stage for their duet “Everything Has Changed.”

Taylor rocked out to songs from her latest album and also threw in some fan favorites like “You Belong With Me” and “Mean.” Click inside for videos!

Taylor Swift Joins Stylist for THR Cover + Take 1 of 13 Diet Coke Video Series

The 23-year-old kicked off the morning with the premiere of her new music video for “22″ (WATCH HERE!) and she’ll finish off the day with the first show of her new Red tour. So what’s happening in between?

First up, Taylor is one of the stars featured alongside their stylists in the latest issue of The Hollywood Reporter. The issue focuses on the 25 most powerful stylists of which is Taylor’s Joseph Cassell. The two met in 2008 and he has been dressing her exclusively ever since.

“Joseph still gets as excited when an outfit comes together or when he finds someone new to do custom performance costumes as I do when I finish writing a new song,” Swift says of Joseph. So cute!

Also, Taylor is the new spokesperson for Diet Coke and the brand have filmed a special behind-the-scenes video series of her tour called “Take 13.” The first video, Take 1, launched today just in time for the opening of the tour. Watch the video below for an inside peek at the rehearsals!
