Taylor Swift Joined by Austin Mahone and Ed Sheeran in Detroit for First of RED Tour Stadium Shows

taylorswift-detroit-050613 Taylor Swift gets sandwiched in between opening acts Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone while meeting & greeting fans in Detroit after the show.

On Saturday, Taylor played the first of 13 North American stadium dates on The RED Tour at Ford Field in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 48,000 fans. Wowzers! It also marked Austin’s first show on the RED tour.

Before the show, Taylor tweeted, “We’re playing our first stadium show of the Red tour in Detroit tonight! Ford Field. 50,000 people. Cannot. Wait. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)” then after she added, “Detroit. That show was unforgettable. Thank you so much.”

First Look: Taylor Swift Guest Stars on “New Girl” Season Finale

Taylor makes a cameo as a woman named Elaine, but the show is keeping it underwraps on what part Elaine will actually play in the wedding episode.

The singer is a big fan of the show and it looks like the cast is a big fan of hers! Showrunner Liz Meriwether told EW, I’m a huge fan of hers. I was fully geeking out about meeting [Taylor]. I didn’t go to meet her right away because I kind of had to compose myself — there’s a 14-year-old girl inside of me.” She continued, “[Taylor] was quoting lines to us from the show. It was a really exciting night.”

Jake Johnson, who plays Nick, said Taylor did a “very good” job in her scenes. “She came in and is really nice. It’s not an easy scene. There were probably 70 extras there — though I’m sure she performs to so much bigger [crowds] than that on a regular basis. She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly. Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”

2013 Radio Disney Music Awards Winners List + Show and Backstage Photos

The duo were just two of the nights big winners at the first annual RD awards show. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and One Direction were also among the winners chosen by the fans who cast over 10 million votes!

The celebration took place at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE and included performances by Gomez, Cher Lloyd, Bridgit Mendler, Cody Simpson, Mindless Behavior, Austin Mahone and Coco Jones.

In addition, the stars also got to hang out at the Minnie Gifting Lounge.

The RDMA show will be presented SATURDAY, MAY 4 on the popular WATCH Disney Channel app available on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, as well as online at WATCHDisneyChannel.com. The RDMA show will also air on SATURDAY, MAY 4 (5:00 p.m., ET/ 2:00 p.m., PT) and SUNDAY, MAY 5 (11:00 a.m., ET/8:00 a.m., PT) on Radio Disney. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and More to Compete at 2013 Billboard Music Awards

taylorswift-bieber-billboard-042213 Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber will not only be performing at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, but they’ll also be competing to take home one of the night’s biggest honors!

The nominations for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards finalists were announced today and Taylor Swift, fun. and Maroon 5 tied for the lead with nods in 11 award categories, followed by Rihanna and Carly Rae Jepsen as finalists in 10 and nine categories, respectively. One Direction is the finalist with the next-highest count, with spots in an impressive eight categories. Out of their 11 categories, the three leaders will all compete for Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Digital Songs Artist. Maroon 5 and fun. will also vie for Top Duo/Group, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Hot 100 Song, and Top Digital Song. Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift will compete for Top Artist, while fun. and Taylor Swift are both finalists for Top Streaming Song (Video).

Additionally during the broadcast, Billboard will honor Prince with the coveted Billboard Icon Award, and the ingenuity of this year’s hitmakers will be celebrated with the new Milestone Award, presented by Chevrolet. Fans can vote for their favorite finalist now at Billboard.com/milestone where the finalists are Taylor, Justin, and Bruno Mars.

Selena Gomez Talks Meeting Brad Pitt and The Lonely Girls Club with Taylor Swift + Performance

selenagomez-ellen-041613 Selena Gomez stopped by the Ellen Show yesterday for an appearance that airs today.

Selena stopped by to chat about her recent experience at the MTV Movie Awards where she met Brad Pitt and fan-girled a little.

Selena also opened up about her friendship with Taylor Swift and what they call the lonely girls club. She revealed that she and Taylor have known each other for about 5 years after meeting backstage at a Jonas Brothers concert. Selena was dating Nick Jonas & Taylor was dating Joe Jonas at the time.

Now that both are single, they have special parties. “Taylor hosts this thing at her house where all our single friends get together and get really bad junk food and she cooks some sort of cake and we play with Meredith,” Selena shared. “We just talk about how we’re single. It’s really fun, it’s just us getting together and encouraging.”

The 23-year-old is shown writing in her songbook the lyrics to her hit “22.” The commercial shows the power of music and how it can touch all kinds of people’s lives as we see people in various settings start singing the song and dancing before Taylor hits the stage.

The commercial will make its television premiere tonight during “American Idol.”

Taylor Swift, The Band Perry and More Perform at Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night

taylorswift-keithurban-040913 The party didn’t stop after the ACM Awards on Sunday, it rolled right on into Monday!

The biggest names in country joined Tim McGraw at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Monday in Las Vegas to film the special ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night. McGraw took the stage to perform several of his biggest hits including his recent chart-topper “One Of Those Nights” and he was even joined on stage by Pitbull!

Taylor Swift and Keith Urban also took the stage with McGraw to perform “Highway Don’t Care” while Nelly joined rising stars Florida Georgia Line for a remix of their hit “Cruise.”

Also taking the stage were The Band Perry, Brantley Gilbert, Lady Antebellum and many more.

Taylor Swift Has A “Heart to Heart” in “Wonderland” Magazine

The 23-year-old covers the April/May 2013 issue and opens up about heartbreak, happiness and more. Check out some quotes via JJJ below.

On getting your heart broken: “It’s very complex; you’re never feeling just sad. Maybe you wake up and you feel sad, and then you get angry, and then you feel like ‘I’m fine’, and then you feel confident, and then you feel a sense of doubt, and then you’re insecure, and then there’s jealousy, and then you’re back to sad – and then you feel fine again.”

On relationships: “Relationships are like traffic lights. And I just have this theory that I can only exist in a relationship if it’s a green light.”

On happiness: “I just try to live a life. That’s the main goal: being able to be happy – not to be happy, I mean, to be content. You know, I’m content in the uncertainty of life in your 20s. You have curveballs thrown at you constantly, you don’t really know what you think about anything, you don’t necessarily know what your permanent beliefs are – everything’s up in the air. But, I kind of like it. It’s exciting.”

On her lucky number 13: “I’ve had [the number 13] bombard me at certain times when I’ve had the best night and the worst night at the same time. Maybe I won a great award but I got really criticized for my performance or something. But then I wrote a song about that performance and won two Grammy’s for it the next year. [It means that] things are lining up the way they’re supposed to be.”

Taylor Swift Keeps Promise to Cancer Survivor Kevin McGuire; Takes as ACM Date and Performs with Keith and Tim!

If you remember, Kevin is the young man who was battling leukemia that asked Taylor to his prom in 2012. In response, Taylor invited him as her date to the ACM’s last year, but he was too ill to make it. Flash forward to this weekend, and Kevin’s dream came true! He got his date with Taylor and attended the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards. So sweet!

Taylor attended the ACM’s looking beautiful and while she didn’t take home any awards, she lit up the stage when she performed alongside Country heavyweights Tim McGraw and Keith Urban for their single “Highway Don’t Care.”
