Exclusive: We Visited the Set of “Switched At Birth” To Bring You Season 2 Scoop! (Video)

swab-interviews-010713Season 2 of “Switched at Birth” premieres tonight on ABC Family at 8pm and this season is stepping up the drama!

After the verdict against the hospital makes Angelo a millionaire, he stuns the families with lavish gifts. But suspicions about Angelo’s behavior continue when a pregnant woman shows up claiming that he is the father. John and Kathryn consider a run for public office. Meanwhile, Bay must face the Student Honor Board when she is accused of cheating, and Daphne’s distraction with Chef Jeff gets her in trouble.

So what does this mean for all the characters? We recently visited the set of the hit show to chat with Vanessa Marano, Katie Leclerc, Lucas Grabeel, and Ryan Lane, as well as new cast members Cassi Thomson, Max Lloyd-Jones, and Stephanie Nogueras.

Switched at Birth: “Game On” Preview

It’s “game on” in tonight’s new episode of “Switched at Birth.”

In the episode, titled “Game On,” Daphne is nervous about the basketball tournament with Carlton vs. Buckner Hall, although she’s excited to represent the deaf community and Carlton and hopes to make them all proud.

Meanwhile, Melody puts Bay in an awkward position when she asks her to testify in Emmett’s custody hearing. Emmett, frustrated by all the drama with his parents divorce, makes a bad decision that could potentially destroy his relationship with Bay.

Kathyrn meets with a NY book editor, Rya Bellows (Shelley Long), to discuss publishing her biography regarding the switch. And, Regina questions whether she should continue seeing Patrick, who seems unfamiliar with dating a single mother.

In tonight’s episode entitled “The Tempest,” Bay (Vanessa Marano) tries to impress Melody with her ASL (American Sign Language) knowledge, trying to earn some points as Emmet’s (Sean Berdy) girlfriend – to no avail. Meanwhile, Regina (Constance Marie) tries to help Bay with Melody (Marlee Matlin) at a game night, but finds this to be harder than expected. When Kathyrn (Lea Thompson) is approached by a local reporter to turn their family baby-swap story into a book, she balks at sensationalizing it and considers writing her own version of the truth, but will Regina also think this is a good idea? Daphne (Katie Leclerc) tries to fit in with her new friend Simone (Guest star Maiara Walsh), who happens to be an old friend of Bay’s, and Wilke (Austin Butler) and Toby (Lucas Grabeel) try to earn some extra money by making fake ID’s.

“The Tempest” premieres tonight at 8pm on ABC Family.
