The Saban Theatre was sure hot last night thanks to the cast of “The Vampire Diaries.”

On the 9th evening of the annual TV event, “The Vampire Diaries” cast was the featured panel. Attendees were treated to an advanced screening of the March 15 episode, called “1912,” which fans should definitely look forward to. Lets just say a lot of things are revealed including one major twist that attendees were asked not to reveal by creator Julie Plec.

Panel members included Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Julie Plec, Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Matthew Davis, and Kat Graham. The event streamed live and the panel will be available later this week to Hulu+ members. This has to be one of the most fun, tight-knit casts. The night was full of jokes and laughs. Ian even gave Nina his jacket at one point. So sweet!

We can’t believe we have to wait until March 15 for a new episode of “The Vampire Diaries.” Thankfully, we have these pics from the next episode to hold us over.

In “1912,” the present-day murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon (Ian Somerhalder) of a similar crime spree a century earlier. In flashbacks to 1912, Damon recalls a beautiful vampire, Sage (guest star Cassidy Freeman), who showed him a whole new way to exist. Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) warns Damon not to get involved in her investigation, but Damon is convinced she’s going after the wrong suspect.

Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Matt (Zach Roerig) resort to breaking and entering in their search for evidence to prove Dr. Fell (guest star Torrey Devitto) is a murderer. For reasons known only to her, Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt), becomes interested in locating one of the town’s oldest landmarks.

Finally, Elena comes to a new understanding of the path her life has taken, and Damon makes an emotional confession to Stefan (Paul Wesley).

That Sage looks like one tough chick. She’s pictured in a boxing ring competing against a guy! We can’t wait to see what secrets she reveals about our beloved Damon.

“You’ll start to really see Damon shift from being repressed and stomped on to really making a shift and getting back this mojo he had,” Somerhalder told TVGuide.com. “He realizes, ‘I could cut my losses and move forward and be OK.’”
