Nick Jonas Covers VMAN

-Nick Jonas is the coverboy for the new issue of VMAN Magazine. The 17-year-old musician shows off a more rugged, rebellious (think James Dean) look in the photoshoot by Mario Testino. The magazine will feature 3 different covers. E! News has a sneak peek of the covershoot below.

Nick told the magazine that he’s not really a rebel: “I just prefer to make people happy with my music.” The issue also features Liam Hemsworth, Justin Bieber, Daren Kagasoff, Matt Lanter and more. VMAN #17 hits newsstands on Thursday, January 28.

‘I ♥ JONAS’ DVD In Stores Today

-Hitting DVD shelves today is the “I ♥ JONAS” DVD. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the DVD is filled with 7 episodes of the hit Disney Channel show, “JONAS”, all focused on, well, love of course.

The DVD includes the episodes “Karaoke Surprise”, “Frantic Romantic” (Guest starring Sara Paxton), and “Three Musketeers”. Viewers get the chance to follow Kevin, Nick, Joe, Stella & Macy as they deal with the hardships of high school and for the brothers, being a famous band. Will Stella and Joe ever reveal their feelings for each other? Will Van Dyke steal Stella away? Will Macy ever get to date a Jonas? You will also get to see Kevin fight off a cookie addiction and become a cheerleader, Nick and Kevin have a hacky sack battle, and more fun JONAS antics.

While the DVD contains probably 7 of the funniest/best episodes from the first season of the show, the bonus features are a little lacking, there is only one! Kevin, Nick, & Joe continue their “You’ve Just Been JoBro’d” segment, this time focusing on tourmate Jordin Sparks. The guys set up a fake radio interview and everything goes wrong: names are mixed up, dating rumors start, etc. This segment is a lot funnier than the one on the last DVD with Chelsea Staub, but we wish there was more! Couldn’t they have included a blooper reel, or even a set tour? Note for next time, please include more bonus features.

Either way, this DVD is a must have for any Jonas fan. And as a bonus, for a limited time, you’ll also get a bonus of 3 magnets included on the package. Be sure to pick up your copy today!

MTV News caught up with George Clooney recently to talk about the event. He shared the main goal is to raise money: “That’s it … just first and foremost that we can raise a lot of money,” he said. “If I thought that we could all pick up shovels and go in there and not be in the way, I think a lot of people would do that.”

If you’d like to make a donation, you can do it online at HopeForHaitiNow.org, over the phone by calling (877) 99-HAITI, by texting the word “GIVE” to 50555 or by mail addressed to Hope for Haiti Now Fund, Entertainment Industry Foundation, 1201 West 5th St., Suite T-700, Los Angeles, CA, 90017.

Apple, the record labels and the artists will donate their share of the proceeds to Haiti relief funds managed by “Hope for Haiti Now” charities.

Clooney said the opportunity to purchase music after the telethon will help increase the longevity of the event. “We’re gonna have 18 songs, and you’re gonna get to hear Jennifer Hudson sing a song you never heard her sing before,” he said. “John Legend is singing ‘Motherless Child’; it’s just great. We’re gonna have some amazing performances, and I think that’s gonna make it last a little longer than just a telethon.”

Nick Jonas: Taylor Swift is Following Me On Twitter Which Is Cool

-Nick Jonas called MTV from the road recently to give them a weekly update. The 17-year-old took the time to talk about the tour, staying healthy, and the latest rumors.

On working out: “I actually was just at a baseball training facility here in Milwaukee, just trying to keep active and get ready for next season. I don’t really like to work out at a gym or anything. Finding other ways to [stay in shape] is fun for me.”

On touring: “As far as being on the road, what’s great is that every show is different and every venue is different, and because it’s so new, it just all feels brand-new to me.”

On if he’s heard from Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus after covering their songs: “I really haven’t heard from them directly. I noticed that Taylor started following me [on Twitter] after I played her song, which is cool. … I think they’re great songs and I’m just happy to throw them in there and play them in the set. I think a great song is a great song at the end of the day.”

On performing with Kevin & Joe in NYC: “Having Kevin and Joe up there was amazing. I got caught in the moment and wanted to share that moment with them. I didn’t tell them, and we sang a song called ‘Please Be Mine.’ … They came out and played it, and the crowd responded well.”

On rumors that he’s dating Selena Gomez after she’s been spotted at his shows: “I think that when it comes to things like that, I enjoy the show, I enjoy the time that we have together and let them do their thing and I’ll do mine, I guess. [It's] not so much a surprise [on the rumors]. The thing that’s kind of funny to me is the fact that I’m still very young, and as far as a relationship, it’s kind of young stuff, and people being interested in that is funny to me, but it’s all good. It’s flattering, and that’s how you have to look at it.”

Keep checking MTV.com for more weekly updates from Nick Jonas while he’s on the road. Nick will also be going Live on SayNow on Friday.

Jonas Brothers: TJ Martell Foundation Honorees

-Kevin, Nick & Joe Jonas, along with their management, have just been announced as this year’s honorees at the TJ Martell Foundation’s 11th Annual Family Day. The trio performed at the event back in 2006 and will be honored this year for their unyielding efforts helping children’s causes around the world. Part of their efforts include The Change for the Children Foundation that works to raise awareness and funds to fight diseases such as diabetes, encourages youth to participate in volunteerism to give back to their local communities and promotes tolerance and acceptance by supporting the Special Olympics.

Family Day brings families together for a spectacular day full of fun and safe indoor games and carnival activities to raise money for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research with a who’s who of music and entertainment executives in attendance. In addition to the fun and games, Family Day will also host a silent auction which will feature amazing, one-of-a-kind celebrity auction items. Family Day has steadily grown into one of the Martell Foundation’s most successful events and has raised over $2.6 million since its inception.

“We couldn’t be more honored to be part of this year’s Family Day event for the T.J. Martell Foundation,” says Joe Jonas. “It’s incredibly important to us that we do everything possible to raise money and awareness that will help children and families who suffer from leukemia, cancer and AIDS.”

The event will be held on Sunday, April 18th, 2010 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City and will feature an exclusive live performance by the Jonas Brothers. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

Joe Jonas: Looking Forward to a Really Cool 2010

-Joe Jonas is excited to see what the new year has in store for him. The 20-year-old caught up with MTV at the Critics’ Choice Awards on Friday and joked about the Jonas Brothers being over. “Yeah, it’s over,” he joked. “Just kidding. It just makes it even better for the three of us and means that we all have our own individual styles of music that we love.”

He also shared that both he and Kevin are busy writing music as well. “I’m doing a lot of writing and I’m not sure where that will pick up,” he said. “I’m kind of sure, but I can’t really talk about it. I’m excited. It’s gonna be a really cool 2010. [Nick's] music and the music I’m writing and Kevin’s music that he really wanted to start writing. I think all of our music together after all this time is really going to make it a great tour and a new album. So it’s great to be able to have these opportunities to do these different things.”

While there aren’t any set tour plans right now, the trio will be performing together at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo with pal Demi Lovato on March 7. The two have been talking on twitter and looks like they may be performing a duet at the show. We’re guessing the song is most likely from “Camp Rock 2″.
